Original Rare 23" Ella Smith Alabama Baby Doll Blue Eyes Antique Marked NO 2

Here for your enjoyment and consideration is an extraordinarily, RARE very early all original, 23" tall, antique oil painted, stockinette cloth ALABAMA BABY doll by Ella Smith of Roanoke, AL., USA, circa 1899. She has tab-jointed shoulders and hips with individually stitched fingers and applied ears, sturdy shaped legs and distinctively shaped derriere for sitting as well as the circular head seam with painted hair and has originally painted, big blue expressive eyes, eyelashes, brows and nicely shaped mouth and nose, painted arms and lower legs with those rust colored boots. She has been preserved in all her original clothing consisting of a wonderful antique, pale blue and white, printed cotton dress that ties in the back.

She has had no repairs or repaint and no touch-ups.

This is an antique and does have wear consistent with age.
